The BCS in chaos after K State and Oregon both lose, Irish wax Wake

The entire national championship picture has been thrown into disarray after No.1 Oregon and No.2 Kansas City were both beaten on Saturday. The Ducks fell to No.14 Stanford 17-14 in overtime, the Wildcats were trounced by Baylor 52-24. Notre Dame whitewashed Wake Forest 38-0 to remain unbeaten and will undoubtedly be No.1 when the updated polls are revealed on Sunday. In other top Saturday matchups, No.6 Ohio State moved to 11-0 with a 21-14 overtime win at Wisconsin. UCLA clinched a berth in the Pac 12 championship game with a 38-28 win over rival USC. Andrew Bynum hurt bowling ???

Friday, Andrew Bynum met the press and told them that he hurt his left knee compensating for the soreness in his right knee. As it turns out, he may ave hurt it bowling.

From ESPN:

Multiple sources told ESPN on Saturday that Bynum suffered an unspecified injury this month while bowling. On Friday, Bynum revealed that — on top of the issues with his right knee that could keep him sidelined until January — he also had suffered a “setback” with his left knee.

The 76ers can’t be real happy about this.

GSP dominant in unanimous decision victory over Condit at UFC 154

Georges St Pierre looked razor sharp in his return to the octagon after a 19 month hiatus with a dominating unanimous decision victor over Carlos Condit. The flight was much closer than the 50-45, 50-45, and 49-46 scores as Condit came to fight and even dropped St Pierre with a spinning head kick. St Pierre re-unified the welterweight division by taking Condit’s interim belt earned while St Pierre recovered from ACL surgery. Next up for St Pierre might be a proposed superfight with middleweight champion Anderson Silva. SP3 will have a complete recap of UFC 154 with results and highlights on Monday.

Stenhouse wins second straight Nationwide title, Keselowski’s to lose today at Homestead

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. became the sixth driver (and the first since 2005) to win back-to-back Nationwide titles by finishing sixth at Homestead to edge Elliot Sadler. Stenhouse took a 20 point lead into the race and needed to just finish 16th to capture his second title. Regan Smith won the race, his first in 103 Nationwide starts, followed by Kyle Busch, and Brendan Gaughn.

In today’s Sprint Cup finale at Homestead, Brad Keselowski takes a 20 point lead into the race over Jimmie Johnson and needs only to finish 15th or better to capture his first Sprint Cup title. Keselowski qualified third but will leave from the outside of the first row after pole-sitter Joey Lagano crashed in practice and will be forced to start last in his practice car.
