Week 15 NFL opens with Bengals/Eagles Thursday nighter

It’s now a three week season as Week 15 of the NFL starts with Cincinnati traveling to Philadelphia. The Bengals opened at three but have been bet up to -4.5 with the total dropping like a stone from 47 to 45 1/2. The Bengals saw their four-game win streak stopped by Dallas last week in a game they should have won easily. Cincinnati won their last two road games not giving up a touchdown in 21 drives. The Eagles snapped their eight-game losing streak with a come from behind win at Tampa Bay. Rookie QB Nick Fowles had a monster day throwing the ball but not sure how much you can put in that coming against the Bucs. The last five Bengals games stayed under the total. Five of the last six Eagles games have gone over the total. It will be perfect football weather in the City of Brotherly Love with temperature at kickoff expected to be around 44 degrees.

Dez Bryant has seen a hand specialist and it has been determined that he has a fractured index finger that will require surgery. Bryant has told the Cowboys that he wants to delay the surgery and try to play through the injury. The Cowboys host the Steelers on Sunday.

Kingsbury had previously spent five years at Houston as an assistant under current WVU head man Dana Holgorson and helped develop Case Keenum into the most prolific passer in NCAA history.

Warriors take down Heat, Celtics top Mavs in double OT

A miscommunication between Ray Allen and Shane Battier left Golden State rookie Draymond Green alone under the basketball for a layup with less than a second remaining as the Warriors beat the Heat 97-95. Klay Thompson lead Golden State with 27 points, David Lee chipped in with 22 points and 13 boards. Paul Pierce had 34 points for the Celtics who held off the Mavs 117-115 in double-overtime. OJ Mayo led seven Dalllas players in double figures with 24. On a busy Wednesday night in the NBA, the Dogs and Under both went 9-4 with the home teams winning the last seven games on the card to escape with an 8-5 edge.

Minnesota Timberwolves PG Ricky Rubio is scheduled to return to the team Saturday vs Dallas, his first game since tearing an ACL back in March. Rubio could help the 10-9 Wolves who are currently ranked 26th in the league in field goal percentage. Rubio can’t shoot a lick but his ball distribution skills should get his teammates plenty of better looks.
