World Series Game III Preview
Game III of the World Series takes place tonight in St Louis as Jake Peavy toes the rubber against Joe Kelly. The game opened with Boston as a -115 favorite but a flood of Cardinal money has made the Red Birds -108 reverse favorites. The high/low is 7 with under shaded 20 cents to the over.
Not sure how this total was not set at least a run higher. Jake Peavy is 0-3 in the postseason with a 10.31 ERA. He’s allowed 21 earned runs in his 18 1/3 innings of work. Joe Kelly is 0-1 with a 4.96 ERA in his three postseason starts. The over is 6-2-1 in his L9 starts.

(NCAAF) Colorado State -2 over Hawaii (Saturday, October 26, 2013 11:59 PM EST)
Going to the islands and winning has always been a problem from for bottom half WAC and Mountain West teams. Still willing to back resurgent Rams here who absolutely have to have this game in their quest to get Bowl eligible. We were very impressed in the Rams effort against Alabama, a 31-6 loss. Sure it was a flat spot in a non-conference game for a disinterested Tide team but the Rams played hard and physical and didn’t back down at all. The Rams are off a big win over Wyoming in the border war, are just 1-12 L13 as a road fave and playing B2B roadies vs a team coming off a bye. That’s an awful situational spot but thinking an improving well coached team guided by long time Saban assistant Jim McElwain is up for the task. Hawaii is winless but generating some offense since switching QBs but turn the ball over at an alarming rate and have just not found a way to get it done. Colorado State scored 59 and 52 in it’s wins over UTEP and Wyoming. Hawaii is giving up 35+ per game and hasn’t given up less than 30 (USC in opener) in any game this year. CSU won 42-27 last year in Fort Collins and it will probably close to that final tonight in paradise.
