World Series Game IV Preview
The St Louis Cardinals lead the World Series 2-1 after winning 5-4 last night in the bottom of the ninth on the first game ending obstruction call in MLB history. The call was correct but it was a strange way to end a pretty wild game overall. In any case, the teams will meet again tonight at Busch Stadium in St Louis where the Cardinals have been installed as -113 favorites with Lance Lynn facing Clay Buchholz.
The Red Sox are 16-3 in 19 Buchholz starts this year but his physical condition is always a question mark and he’s 1-1 with a 4.85 ERA in his last five. The over is 5-1-1 in his L7 and he has not thrown a pitch in eight days. Lance Lynn is 3-1 with a 2.91 ERA in his L5 starts but he hasn’t pitched in 12 days. The Cards are just 8-12 in his 20 starts. The Cards are 13-1 in their L14 home games with four of the last five going over the total.

(NFL) San Francisco -14.5 over Jacksonville (Sunday, October 27, 2013 1:00 PM EST)
Even with this game being played in Europe the tough travel for the 49ers, still don’t mind laying the big number with San Francisco. The Jags have lost their first seven games by double-digits and the only game they’ve covered was the Bronco game where they were getting a whopping 27 points. They meet a 49er outfit that has flicked the switch and is finally starting to get healthy, covering their last four by an average score of 33-13. They are running the ball with authority which is giving Kaepernick the option of doing more things and opening up the passing game. They should be able to do whatever they want against a hard trying but not very good Jaguar defense. The favorite has won five of the last six games played in London with only this year’s Steelers/Vikes game the odd man out. San Fran is 5-1 as a favorite this year and 21-8-1 in that role under Harbaugh. Six of the Jags seven opponents managed to score 24+ points
(only the toothless Raiders didn’t) so if we throw in a couple of probable Jag turnovers, we can confidently put the 49ers on around 35 for the game. That would mean having the Jags get 21+ to cover the number. We don’t think so. San Francisco 38-13.
