Colts win fourth straight routing Jacksonville
In Thursday’s NFL Week 10 opener, the Colts won for the fifth time in six games by easily downing the Jacksonville Jaguars 27-10. While the stats were relatively equal, the Jags were never in the game as the Colts rushed out to a 17-0 lead and were never headed. The Colts had 359 yards to the Jags 337 but Indy dominated time-of-possession with 36 minutes. Indianapolis’ more balanced attack rushed the ball 37 times vs 26 passes while Jacksonville playing catchup, threw the ball 51 times and running the football just 11 times. Andrew Luck rushed for two touchdown and Darius Butler returned a pick-six back 11 yards for a touchdown. Favorite and Under players cashed their tickets.
Florida State stuns Hokies in final minute
Trailing 22-20 with less than a minute left, Florida State looked to get into position for a winning field goal but ….. Rashad Greene broke a 39-yard crossing pattern of a score with just 40 seconds left to give the No.8 road Seminoles the win. Under players took a tough beat when FSU converted a two-point conversion on the last score to send Over players to the cashier. Florida State quarterback EL Manuel threw for 326 yards and three TDs under constant pressure from a fired up Hokie defense that sacked him five times. After eight straight seasons of double-digit wins, 4-6 Virginia Tech must win out to get Bowl eligible.

Friday night’s college football weekend appetizer features Pittsburg at UConn in Big East action. This is a gut check game for the Panthers who are on a short week after getting their hearts ripped out in a 3OT loss to Notre Dame on Saturday. With Rutgers and at South Florida on deck, Pitt needs this if they hope to get to a Bowl. The Panthers are 6-2 in their L8 a a road favorite. UConn has dropped four straight scoring just 33 points and won’t be playing after December 1st. The spot might be right for the Huskies who play their only home game in a month tonight on national TV. Pitt opened and has remained a -3.5 point favorite with the high/low set at 43 1/2. Kickoff is at 8:00 PM EST on ESPN2 and weather will not be a factor in Storrs.
