Heat rout Pacers to set up finals with Spurs
Miami used a 33-16 second quarter to blow out Indiana 99-76 and advance to the NBA finals vs the Spurs. The Heat played a near perfect final three quarters never letting Indiana back in the game. Miami got 62/27/6 from their big three and timely contributions from the bench including some key threes from Ray Allen.
The final with the Spurs starts Thursday in South Beach with the Heat as -5.5 favorites with the total set at 189. The money line is Miami -240 with San Antonio +200 on the take back.
Bruins pound Pens for 3-0 lead
The Boston Bruins blitzed the Pittsburg Penguins with four first period goals to cruise to a 6-1 win. The Bruins go home with a 2-0 Eastern Conference Finals lead after sweeping both games in Pittsburg. Brad Marchand lit the lamp just 28 seconds into the game and the rout was on. Marchand also had a backbreaker with just nine seconds left in the first period to kill any chance of a Pen comeback.
Tonight at the Staples Center, the Los Angeles Kings are -135 favorites over the Chicago Blackhawks. Chitown leads the series 2-0 after sweeping both games at the United Center. The Kings have won 14 straight on home ice and rate a look here as super-G Jamie Quick figures to rebound from a rare poor game in Game II.
MLB News and Notes
The St Louis Cardinals continued to roll with another win on Monday but catcher Yadier Molina ha been suspended a game for bumping an umpire on Sunday. Molina is appealing so he’ll remain in the lineup for the time being.
The unthinkable has happened to the underachieving Anaheim Angels. After winning nine of ten and climbing to within sniffing distance of .500, the Halos were swept in a four game set with lowly Astros. Houston got the most of their three hits on Monday to come away with a 2-1 win to complete the sweep. The Angels spoiled a great outing by Joe Blanton who fell to an MLB worst 1-9.

He’s the only player in NBA history with at least 15,000 points, 10,000 assists and 7,000 rebounds. Kidd is third all-time in triple-doubles (107), second all-time in steals (2,684), third in minutes played (50,111) and 71st in total points scored (17,529).

He posted career averages of 12.6 points, 8.7 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.9 steals.
