No.1 Indiana beat No.4 Michigan State 72-68 on Tuesday to take charge of the Big Ten and snap a 17-game losing streak at East Lansing. The Hoosiers last win at Michigan State came in 1991 before most of the current Indiana players were born. Victor Oladipo had q9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Cody Zeller chipped in with 17. Mizzou comes from double-digits down to stun Florida
On January 19th, Florida stomped Missouri by 31 in Gainesville. Last night, the Tigers came from 13 down to return the favor and knock off the No.5 Gators 63-60 in Columbia. Lawrence Bowers had his best game of the season with 17 points and 10 boards. Missouri improved to a perfect 15-0 on their home floor.

The Jets cut four high-priced veteran players Tuesday, clearing $30.7 million off their payroll and and getting Gang Green $5.7 million under the cap prior to the March 12 deadline. Linebackers Bart Scott and Calvin Pace, safety Eric Smith and offensive tackle Jason Smith were all given their walking papers along with injured TE Josh Baker. Every team must be below the cap by March 12th, the start of the NFL fiscal year.
Blackhawks tie NHL record with SO win over Canucks
The Chicago Blackhawks defeated Vancouver 4-3 in a shootout to remain unbeaten in regulation. In doing so, Chitown also equaled the NHL record by picking up at least one point in 16 straight games to open the season. The Hawks trailed 1-0 after Daniel Sedin opened the scoring for Vancouver at the 13:34 mark. Chicago stormed back with three goals in the second but the Canucks got two goals in the final three minutes to force a scoreless overtime and then a shootout.
Bayern Munich 3-1 over Arsenal in Champions League play
Bayern Munich used early goals from Toni Kroos and Thomas Mueller to cruise to a 3-1 win over Arsenal in North London in the away leg of the Champions League round of sixteen. German national Lucas Podolski got the Gunners on the board in the 55th minute but Mario Mandzukic added an insurance goal for the visitors 22 minutes later. With the win and three away goals, the German champions are a virtual lock to move on when the teams meet in the home leg at Munich in two weeks.
