Notre Dame and Ohio State run the table …. Georgia, Florida, Oregon big Saturday winners
Notre Dame and Ohio State both completed their regular seasons at a perfect 12-0. The Irish beat USC 22-13 to lock up a spot in the National Championship game January 7th in Miami. Notre Dame will likely meet the winner of the Georgia/Alabama SEC championship game. No.3 Georgia smoked Georgia Tech in their annual rivalry while No.2 Alabama pasted Auburn 49-0 in the Iron Bowl.
Ohio State beat Michigan 26-21 to finish their season at 12-0. The win over their biggest Big Ten rival was bittersweet however as the Buckeyes are prohibited from going to a Bowl because of sanctions imposed for Tatoogate. It was the first time the Buckeyes have finished undefeated since their 2002 National Championship team and the sixth time overall.
Other big winners on Saturday were Florida, Oregon, South Carolina, and Stanford. Oregon won it’s Civil War with Oregon State but will not make the Pac 12 championship game thanks to Stanford’s 35-17 win over UCLA. The same two teams will meet again this weekend in Palo Alto to decide the Pac 12 championship. Florida beat Florida State 37-26 for Sunshine State bragging rights and South Carolina topped Clemson in the Palmetto Bowl.

RIP Hector Camacho 1962-2012
