Knicks win for first time in seven years at Boston
Ordinarily, the Knicks beating the Celtics wouldn’t be news but ….. when the Knicks win at Boston ….. that’s news. Thursday night the Knicks went to TD Garden Arena and edged the Celtics 89-86 for their first win in Beantown since November 24, 2006. Carmelo Anthony had 28-8-3 for the winners, his 27th consecutive game with 20 or more points. Amare Stoudamire chipped in with 15 points and nine boards. Rajon Rondo had a 23-10-11 triple-double for Boston.
UCLA runs out to 17-3 lead, cruises past Arizona
Going into last night, Pac 12 conference favorites were an abysmal 7-22 against-the-spread. Pac 12 bullies went 3-1 last night but No.6 Arizona evidently didn’t get the memo. UCLA jumped out to a 16-point lead early, lead by 10 at the half, and then cruised to an 84-73 win in Tuscon. The Bruins were a white hot 17-29 (59%) from beyond the arc, never letting the Wildcats get back in the game. Freshman Shabazz Muhammad had 23 for UCLA.

The Hornets will be the Pelicans in 2013-2014
