Heat -7.5 over Pacers in tonight’s ECF Game II
The Indiana Pacers and Miami Heat strap it up again tonight after Wednesday’s epic overtime Game I. Las Vegas has made little adjustment to the line with the Heat -7.5 and the total down a tick to 181. Wednesday’s series opener opened with the Heat -8 and 183 1/2 and closed at -8.5 and 182. Dwayne Wade is listed as probable. It will be interesting to see how the Pacers react after getting their hearts ripped out in Game I. Remember Golden State ???
Red Wings send Hawks to the brink with 2-0 whitewash
The Detroit Red Wings have taken the top-seeded Chicago Blackhawks to the brink of elimination with a 2-0 win last night at Joe Lewis Arena. Dan Cleary and Jakub Kindl lit the lamp and Jimmy Howard stopped 28 shots in pitching the shutout.
The New York Rangers avoided a sweep in their series with Boston thanks to Chris Kreider’s tip-in at 7:03 of overtime. Derek Stepan had a goal and an assist for the Broadway Blues while Henrik Lundqvist made 34 saves to send the series back to Boston 3-1 for the Bruins.
Anze Kopitar broke the ice at 18:08 of the first period and Jamoe Quick pitched a 24 save shutout as the Los Angeles Kings blanked San Jose 3-0 to take a 3-2 lead in their Western Conference semi. The defending Stanley Cup champs go back to San Jose up 3-2 and look to snap a six-game losing streak at the Shark Tank.
Terry Francona wins in return to Fenway
The Cleveland Indians pounded Red Sox pitching for 16 hits to give the Tribe a 12-3 win in Terry Francona’s return to Fenway Park. Francona got a standing ovation and a video tribute in his first game in Boston since taking the Cleveland job. Francona coached Boston for eight years and winning two World Series before being dismissed after Boston’s September 2011 meltdown.
Coach K will coach Team USA in Brazil
Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski will return as the U.S. men’s national basketball coach and will look to guide Lebron/Carmelo/Durant/CP3 to a third straight gold medal in Brazil. Krzyzewski took over the team in 2005 after the US took bronze in Athens and helped re-establish American hoop supremacy by winning gold at Beijing and London. The U.S. national team is 62-1 under Coach K and is currently on a 50 game winning streak.
Bears to retire Mike Ditka’s #89
After years of animosity between the two sides and more than 40 years after playng his last game with the Bears, Chicago will retire Mike Ditka’s No.89. Ditka, a Hall of Famer, coached the 1985 Bears to the Super Bowl XX title and played on the 1963 championship team. He is credited with revolutionizing the tight end position with his pass catching ability. He ranks first in Bears history among tight ends and fourth overall with 4,502 receiving yards, fifth with 316 catches and 34 touchdowns. The former rookie of the year was a two-time All-Pro and six-time Pro-Bowler.

The UFC is in Las Vegas for it’s annual Memorial Day card and will feature the big boys in loaded top to bottom card. Cain Velasquez defends his UFC heavyweight championship against Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva. In the co-feature, Junior Dos Santos takes on “Super Samoan” Mark Hunt.
