Durant scores 31 as OKC wins their 10th straight game

It took the Oklahoma City Thunder about 10 games to adapt to life without James Harden but now they have and they are back with a vengeance. The Durantula popped for 31 points and Serge Ibaka chipped in with 18 points and 11 boards as OKC rolled past Sacramento 113-103. Russell Westbrook has 13 points and 13 helpers for the winners. The Florida/Arizona lats show highlights full card of college hoops

Finals week is over and college basketball is back at full force with a full slate of action for Saturday. The NHL goes to court

With the lockout reaching it’s 90th day on Friday and the NHLPA threatening to decertify, the league has filed a class action suit against the players in federal court.

From the NHL:

“Today, in response to information indicating that NHL Players have or will be asked to vote to authorize the National Hockey League Players’ Association’s Executive Board to proceed to ‘disclaim interest’ in continuing to represent the Players in collective bargaining, the National Hockey League filed a Class Action Complaint in Federal Court in New York seeking a Declaration confirming the ongoing legality of the lockout.

“Simultaneously with the filing of its Complaint, the NHL also filed an Unfair Labor Practice Charge with the National Labor Relations Board alleging that by threatening to ‘disclaim interest,’ the NHLPA has engaged in an unlawful subversion of the collective bargaining process and conduct that constitutes bad faith bargaining under the National Labor Relations Act.”

In response, the NHLPA issued the following statement.

“The NHLPA has just received a copy of the National Labor Relations Board charge and has not yet been served with the lawsuit. However, based on what we’ve learned so far, the NHL appears to be arguing that Players should be stopped from even considering their right to decide whether or not to be represented by a union. We believe that their position is completely without merit.”

MLB Hot Stove News

Proving that there is just too much money in baseball, the Tigers have re-signed pitcher Anibal Sanchez to a five-year $80 million dollar deal. Widely regarded as the second best available free agent starting pitcher after Zack Greincke, Sanchez is just 48-51 lifetime with a 3.75 career ERA for the Tigers and Miami Marlins. Sanchez was dealt to the Detroit in July and went 4-6 with a 3.74 ERA in 12 regular-season starts for the Tigers. He recorded a 1.77 ERA while going 1-2 in three postseason outings.
