(MLB) Kansas City (Chen) -133 over Minnesota (Deduno) (Thursday, August 29, 1:10 PM EST)
The Royals have probably played themselves out of the wildcard race but are continuing to fight, winning their last four games and scoring 31 runs. The last two wins have come at the expense of these Minnesota Twins who have barely put up a fight losing 6-1 and 8-1. Bruce Chen has been God awful for Kansas City in his last two but these are his only two bad starts in his limited opportunities this year. He’s 2-2 with a 3.21 ERA in his eight starts despite giving up 13 earned runs in his last nine innings of work. Sam Deduno started out well when he was inserted into the rotation but has faded badly of late. He’s 1-3 with a 5.96 ERA over his last four starts. Kansas City has owned the series winning 14 of the 18 meetings this year including seven of nine here at Target Field. The Twins have lost nine of their L12 and have no reason to show up here. Kansas City gets a confident call.
