Another win for the Heat, more records for Lebron. The King became the first player in NBA history to score 30 points or better in six consecutive games while shooting 60% from the field. James has an even 30 while Chris Bosh had 32 and Dwayne Wade 24 in the Heat’s 117-104 win over Portland. It was the sixth straight win for Miami and the 1000th win in franchise history.

Noel hurt in UK loss to Florida

In other feature action on Tuesday, the Florida Gators easily handled No.25 Kentucky 69-52 in Gainesville but the real story centered around a knee injury to the Cats Nerls Noel. The Kentucky big man hurt his knee in the second half and was taken to the hospital for tests. Noel, a power forward who averages 10.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.5 blocks a game, landed awkwardly on his leg and fell screameing in pain as trainers rushed to his side. Teammates carried him to the locker room. His status at this writing is unknown.

Banana Joe wins best in Show

In an upset of sorts, the pint-sized Affenpinscher Banana Joe was named Best in Show at the 137th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at Madison Square Garden in New York. It was the five-year-olds 86th Best in Show title besting seven other group winners. The Old English Sheepdog Swagger was named reserve champion. This year there were 2,721 entries from 187 breeds. SB3 continued running ice cold with a prediction on the American Foxhound.

Real Madrid and Manchester United square off in Champions League

In a battle of Euro socccer heavyweights, Manchester United will travel to the hallowed grounds of the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16. The IOC cancels wrestling as an Olympic sport for 2020

In a decision that has shocked the Olympic world, the IOC has decided to eliminate wrestling starting with the 2020 Olympic Games. Wrestling was a major sport of the ancient games and has been a huge part of the modern Olympics since it’s inception. We now have snowboarding, synchronized swimming and trampoline as Olympic sports but not wrestling. Go figure.
