BoSox clinch first championship at Fenway since 1918

Congratulation to the Boston Red Sox who claimed their third World Championship in ten year after a 6-1 win over St Louis taking the Series 4-2 and winning their first championship at Fenway Park since 1918. Shane Victorino delivered the big blow with a three-run double and drove in four runs on the night. John Lackey pitched 6 2/3 innings scattering nine hits.

Big Papi hits .688 for the Series, claims MVP

David Ortiz was the obvious MVP after having one the greatest offensive series in MLB history. Ortiz hit a rediculous .688 in the series reaching base 19 times in 25 at bats. “Big Papi” is now 20-44 (.454) for his World Series career, the best ever for a player with at least 50 plate appearances.

76ers down Heat in Night II NBA surprise

A heavy 14-game scheduled highlighted Day II of the NBA regular season. The Philadelphia 76ers pulled of the an upset of the Miami heat winning 114-110 as 12 1/2 point home dogs. Michael Carter Williams led the way with a 22-7-12 game line.

Dwight Howard made his Houston debut a winning one scoring 17 points and pulling down 26 rebounds in the Rockets 96-83 win over the Bobcats.

San Antonio beat the Memphis Grizzlies 101-94 as Kawhi Leonard led six Spurs in double figures with 14 points. The Grizz’s Zach Randolph was held to just 2 points and seven boards.

Just 24-hours after spanking the Clippers as a double-digit dog, the Lakers were crushed at Golden State 125-94. The Warriors led by 10 at the quarter, 19 at the half and by 33 after three quarters.

Cincinnati rips Memphis 34-21

The Cincinnati Bearcats went on a 21-0 after Memphis drew first blood and cruised to a 34-21 win. Brendan Kay threw for 321 yards for the winners though four of their touchdown came via the run. Favorite and Over players cashed their tickets.

Bengals/Dolphins kick off Week IX NFL

The Cincinnati Bengals travel to South Beach tonight to face the Dolphins as we pass the halfway point of the NFL season. The Bengals are currently three point favorites with the total set at 43. Cincinnat has won four straight going 3-1 ATS. They are 2-2 on the road with both wins by scores of 27-24. The Dolphins blew a 17-3 halftime lead at Foxboro on Sunday to crash to their fourth straight loss. The Dolphins are 15-5 all-time in the series going 11-2 in the L13. The Bengals last played in Miami in 2007. Weather will be perfect with a game time temperature of 78.

Retired Brazilian soccer player head found on home doorstep

The severed head of a former Brazilian footballer was found Wednesday in a bag left on the front porch of his house. Joao Rodrigo Silva Santos was kidnapped on Monday while closing his health food store in Rio de Janeiro. The killing was reportedly a retaliation towards Santos wife who is a government official working with police to run drug dealers out the city favelas (slums).
