Cards deck Deck Dodgers 5-1 to stop road streak

Carlos Beltran and Matt Adams went yard and Joe Kelly picked up his third straight win as the St Louis Cardinals beat the Dodgers 5-1 snapping L.A.’s epic 15-game road winning streak. The Dodgers had nine hits but could only push through one run on an Adrian Gonzalez single. Los Angeles is now 32-8 over their L40 games.

The Atlanta Braves beat Washington 2-1 for their 12th straight win and extending their lad in the N.L. East to 12 1/2 games. The game featured a near bench clearing brawl after Atlanta starter Julio Tehran plunked Bryce Harper two innings after Harper hit a tape measure bomb for the Nats only run.

The Detroit Tigers stopped Cleveland for the second straight night to record their 10th straight win. Justin Verlander pitched eight innings of four-hit ball to pick up his 12th win. The Tigers are 14-4 in the L18 of their series with the Tribe.

Johnny Football signed mini-helmets for $25 per

A new Johnny Manziel football memorabilia scandal is heating up as a new East Coast broker has outed the Heisman Trophy winner for signing 300 full-sized and mini helmets for a payment of $7500. The signings allegedly occured between January 11th and 12th while Manziel was attending the Walter Camp foundation event. The broker recorded the event with his phone. Tiger is the favorite to win the PGA

Tiger Woods is the prohibitive 4/1 favorite to win his first major in five years as the PGA championship tees off tomorrow at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York. Tiger Woods is winless is 18 straight majors and Nevada bookmakers have estimated that players have lost $1.5 million on Woods to win in those majors. If the rule of thumb that Nevada constitutes about 1% of all monies bet, players have lost $150 million dollars betting on Tiger Woods to win the last 18 majors.

Former Red Wing fan favorite Shawn Burr dead after fall

Former first-round draft pick and Red Wing fan favorite Shawn Burr is dead at 47 after a fall at his home. Burr, who had been diagnosed with leukemia in 2011, fell down stairs Monday sustaining serious brain trauma. He was removed from life support late Monday night. Burr played 11 years with the Wings before finishing his career in Tampa Bay and San Jose. His best season was in 1989-90 when he had 24 goals and 32 assists, both career highs.
