Big East showdown today as Syracuse visits Louisville

Saturday’s college basketball card features a Big East showdown between the 16-1 Syracuse Orangemen and the 16-1 Louisville Cardinals. No.6 Syracuse beat Louisville twice last year holding the top-ranked Cards to just 49 and 51 points but ….. Louisville had won the previous seven games in the series and will be at home here. The Orange have lost four of five on this floor. Louisville is 4-0 in Big East play with all wins by 15+ points. It should be a good one.

MLB Hot Stove League action

Brewer first-baseman Corey Hart will need surgery to repair a meniscus in his right knee that will keep him out 3-4 months. Even with a setback free rehab, it means that the Brewers will be without Hart until probably mid-May. Hart is a 30-year-old two-time All-Star that hit .270/.334/.507 with 30 homers, 83 RBI, 91 runs and 35 doubles last season, so this is obviously a significant blow for the Brewers’ offense
