Memphis and Indiana both took 2-1 leads in their conference semis with wins over the Thunder and Knicks respectively. Marc Gasol continues to show he’s one of the top big men in the game with a 20/9/5 game line. Kevin Durant’s 25/11/5 was not enough for Oklahoma City.
The Pacers got 24 points and 12 boards from Roy Hibbert in their win over New York. Both teams shot 35% for the game but Indiana knocked down 10 three-pointers to the Knicks three and dominated the offensive glass with 18 boards. Carmelo Anthony had 21 for the Knicks.
In today’s Game IV between the Spurs and Warriors, San Antonio is taking all the money and has gone from a two-point dog to a -2.5 point favorites in most shoppes. The total has plunged like a stone dropping from 200.5 to 197 1/2. Tony Parker has been upgraded to probable but Steph Curry is a game time decision.
Pens move on via 4-3 OT win over the Islanders
The Pittsburg was only able to get off 21 shots against the Islanders on Saturday but four found the back of the net in the Pens 4-3 overtime win that eliminated the New Yorkers four games to two. The top seeds in the East were clearly outplayed by the upstart Islanders in all but game five of the series but New York goalie Evgeni Nabokov had one of the worst six or more game playoff series in the last 30 years with an .842 save percentage. In the end, Pirrsburg advances to the second round where they will meet the Ottawa Senators.
In Sunday’s NHL playoff action, the Rangers are -140 home ice favorites over Washington. The puck drops at 4:35 PM EST and the Caps lead the series 3-2. At 7:35 the -135 road fave Boston Bruins can eliminate Toronto at the Molson Center. The Leafs trail that series three games to two. The best was saved for last as the Detroit/Anaheim Game Seven goes at 10:35 PM EST. The Ducks are -145 in this win or go home eliminator.

Adam Wainright took a no-hiiter into the eighth inning before finally finishing with a two-hit 3-0 shutout of the suddenly punchless Colorado Rockies. Shelby Miller one-hit the Rockies of Friday allowing a leadoff single to Eric Yound before retiring the next 27 batters in order.
The Dodgers snapped an eight game losing streak with a 7-1 win over the Miami Marlins. Andre Eithier went four-for-four and scored three runs. Hyun-Jin Ryu and three relievers shut down the Fish on five hits.
Kenseth wins at Darlington
Matt Kenseth won his fourth Sprint Cup race of the year winning Saturday night’s Southern 500 at Darlington. It was a big night for Joe Gibbs Racing going 1-2 Denny Hamlin finishing second. Jeff Gordon finished third in his 700th Nascar start as points leader Jimmie Johnson and Kevin Harvick rounded out the top five. Kyle Busch led over 200 laps but cut a tire late and didn’t figure in the decision.
Tiger is co-leader at the Players
For the first time in his career, Tiger Woods will enter Sunday’s final of the Players Championship with a share of the lead. Woods along with Sergio Garcio and Swede David Lingermerth will all start at 12 under. Seventeen golfers start the day within five shots of the lead.
