Indiana punked by Wisconsin again
Talk about having someone’s number …. Wisconsin, a six-point dog, beat Indiana for the 12th straight time. The Badgers had the Hoosiers on lockdown in the second half cruising to a 68-56 win. Wisconsin will meet Ohio State in the Big Ten tournament final today (Ohio State -2, 117.5) while the Hoosiers will watch the bracket show to see if their body of work has earned them a top seed.
Louisville wins the Big East, Kansas EZ in the Big 12
There were a couple of amazing 35 point swings on Saturday including Louisville’s 78-61 Big East Tournament final win over Syracuse. The Cardinals, who trailed 35-22 at the half, used a 44-10 second half run to blow out the imploding Orangemen. The other big turnaround game came in the MAC tourney where Akron trailed 29-20 to the Ohio Bobcats before closing the game on a 45-17 run to win 66-46. No surprise in the Big 12 where Kansas easily handled Kansas State like they usually do, this time 70-54.
GSP dominates Nick Diaz at UFC 158
Unfortunately, it was more hype than fight as Georges St Pierre successfully defended his UFC welterweight belt for the 10th time with a dominating unanimous decision victory over Nick Diaz. All three judges had the fight 50-45 for GSP who dominated with superior wrestling and ground and pound. The real fight was the co-main event where Johny Hendricks beat Carlos Condit on a split decision. Hendricks also won with superior wrestling as Condit surprisingly had the best of it in the stand up. The fight is already being billed as a “Fight of the Year” candidate. SB3 will try to have highlights from this one during the week.

Happy St Patrick’s Day
SB3 wants to wish everyone a very Happy St Patrick’s Day. Unless you are a real rock music aficionado, Gary Moore is probably the greatest guitarist you’ve never heard of. This Irish rock legend is known mainly for his work with Thin Lizzy but he had a significant solo career as well. We lost Gary way to young in 2011 on the same day that the Packers bet the Steelers in the Super Bowl. “Over the Hills and Far Away” is certain to get your Irish up. Have a great day, party hardy and be safe.
