NFL News and Notes
It’s now a four game season as the NFL kicks off Week 14 with the Broncos/Raiders on Thursday night. The traveling Broncos opened as 10.5 point favorites and are now down to 10. The total opened 51 and has been bet down to 48. Not much you can do with this game. The Broncos have won the last seven series meetings going 5-2 vs the points. Over those seven games they scored 30+ points six times with road wins of 11-8-22-8 points. The Raiders have failed to cover five straight allowing 37.8 ppg. Denver waxed the Raiders 37-6 at Mile High back in Week Four but keep this in mind ….. if you bet the last 21 NFL home dogs catching more than eight points your record against the spread would be ….. (drum roll please) ….. 20-1. The last time was two weeks ago and involved Denver’s 17-9 (-10.5) winning non-cover against the Chiefs. Denver has clinched the AFC West and might just want to get out of Dodge with a win. The Raiders might just suck it up and play hard for HC Dennis Allen who lost his father on Tuesday. Tough call.
