Super Tuesday was good for one major upset and another narrowly averted as Illinois knocked off #5 Ohio State 79-75 while Baylor came back to beat Kansas State 75-73. Florida State beat Virginia Tech 53-49 and Florida blew out Georgia 70-48 in the ESPN TV double header. Key game tonight feature Syracuse as a nine-point favorite at Villanova and Temple at St Louis in a key A-14 showdown. In an interesting scheduling quirk, LSU travels to Alabama in SEC action. A solid 3-1 night for Sportsbetting3 last night, looking to continue that run tonight with four more winners. Thanks for making Sportsbetting3 part of your daily routine.

Michigan -8 over Northwestern

Northwestern is one of four team to have never made it to the big dance. The Wildcats got off to a good start against a pretty representative non-conference schedule but are just 1-3 in their L4 showing nothing in DD losses to Creighton, Ohio State, and Illinois. The Wolverines have finally turned the corner for Beilein, play great defense and knocking down long range jumpers. The teams have split out their last eight but this year’s Michigan team is a contender while the Wildcats are sadly once again a pretender. Michigan has a habbit of playing up or down to the opposition as evidenced by their 37-19 ATS record vs winning records.

Southern Miss +8 over Memphis

Southern Miss has lost 16 straight in the series but the last six have been by seven or less. That may very well be the case again tonight which means that we would cash our tickets. The Eagles have won 11 straight since losing in OT to unbeaten Murray State and are well coached by Larry Eustachy. Memphis has won four straight and features a bunch of highly touted youngsters with the key word being young. The Tigers haven’t shown blow out power vs less than they’ll face tonight. Take the points.

Old Dominion -1 over Delaware

Delaware has taken advantage of getting big points in this series going 11-4 ATS in L15 against the number but the Blue Hens are just 1-4 straight up in the last five of the series. The Hens have lost to Howard and UNC Wilmington in their L5 games. Last year, the Monarchs were the best offensive rebounding team in the country and were a Matt Howard put pack from beating Butler last year in the Big Dance’s opening round. Old Dom is very ordinary this year but we’re just asking the Monarchs to win straight up here. Old Dom is 47-8 straight up as a favorite over the last three years, we’ll back them here.

Ole Miss -1 over Arkansas

Ole Miss is 6-1 in their L7 vs the Razors but have some issues here which accounts for the cheap number. The Rebs are without their leading scorer who was tossed for off-the-court issues. They’ve lost four of five overall including a 26-point bullet at LSU in their SEC opener. Ole Miss shoots just 28% from downtown and 59% from the foul line so why back them here ??? Well, if the Rebs are going to get healthy, they’ll do so against the Hawgs. Arkansas has their own off the court stuff going on and were waxed by Oklahoma and UConn in their only two road games. In fact, Ark is 6-14 ATS in their L20 roadies and 6-17 in their L23 as a DR of three or less. Take Ole Miss.
