The Pats, Ravens, 49ers, Giants …. and now we have four

The NFL is down to it’s Final Cuatro with the Ravens and Giants winning Sunday. Baltimore could manage just 217 yards of total offense but turned three TJ Yates interceptions into 17 points and a win. Arian Foster rushed for 132 yards on 27 carreies and a score for the Texans. Andre Johnson has eight catches for 111 yards but Houston was unable to get into the endzone when they needed to. Anquan Boldin had 73 yards on four catches for the Blackbirds who move on to New England for the AFC Championship game. The Pats are 7.5 point favorites and the total checked in at 50.

The Giants were the sexy upset pick for the weekend and din’t disappoint. Eli Manning threw for nearly 300 yards in the first half including a 37-yard Hail Mary TD to Hakeem Nicks on the final play of the first half to break the Packers back. Green Bay could never get on track, losing three fumbles while the wideouts dropped eight Aaron Rodgers passes. It’s been seven years since the defending Super Bowl champs have won a playoff game going 0-5 in the proced. The Giants travel to San Francisco where the 49ers have been installed as 2.5 point favorites. The total opened at 43.

SP3 free plays went a disappointing 1-3 on Sunday. NBA takes center stage on this holiday matinee Monday. Lets get back on track with a couple of winners today.

(NBA) Miilwaukee at Philadelphia Under 189.5

Thought about laying the points with the 76ers cover machine but 9+ points is a lot to lay in a historically low scoring series (8-1 under L9) and with the Bucks an eye-popping 28-6 vs the points in their L34 vs the Atlantic Division. Seven of the last eight in the series have flown under the total with the last four games producing 169-189-176-180 points. Milwaukee is 27-11 under with 2+ days rest and avgg just 89 ppg with suitcase. Philly has been playing great defense and the low is 4-1 in 76ers homies. The Under makes a lot of sense here.

(NBA) Oklahoma City -3 over Boston

Since starting 2012 with two straight losses to Dallas and Portland, the Thunder has been an ATM machine winning six straight and covering fivs of them. The Thunder are young, deep, and start the future of the NBA in Durant and Westbrook. OKC shoots a rock solid 46.9% from the field including 37% of their threes. We’re less than a month into the season and the old Celtics are already a very old team. Rondo has carried the team on his back while Pierce and Garnett are ready for their rocking chairs. Boston is 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS against winning records and that doesn’t figure to improve here. OKC by ten.

(CBB) Syracuse -14.5 over Pittsburg

Jamie Dixon’s long year at Pittsburg is going to get a bit longer today as the struggling Panthers travel to unbeaten and #1 Syrcause. Pitt has lost six straight (1-5 ATS) and two back lost at Rutgers 62-39 shooting just 21% from the field. The Panthers are 11-3 in their L14 as a dog but none of that is with this team. The Orange are just rolling people outscoring opponents by 20.2 ppg. The Cuse is 12-6 the way we keep score and that despite laying inflated numbers to bottom feeders all year long. The Carrier Dome will be rocking tonight with the holiday and just can’t buy the Panthers withstanding the onslaught. Syracuse by 20.

(NHL) Winnipeg at Ottawa Under 5.5

The Jets are 10-2 under the total in their L12 and doing it with stingy defense and world class goaltending. That said, they’ve helped their own run of unders by scoring just six goals in their L5 games. Ottawa had been a goal factory on both ends of the ice early on but have settled down and are 5-2 under in their L7. They fit several situational spots with good under numbers including a 7-2 low run off 3+ straight wins. Lost of dump and chase here as both teams look to capitalize on mistakes and on special teams. Play the Under.
