(NBA) Charlotte +5 over the NY Knicks

The Knicks have had two nights off to contemplate their 6-10 record. The Bobcats play their third game in four nights so fatigue factor favors the Knicks. That said, the Bockers have not fared well in the series. The teams have already played twice this year, splitting with Charlotte winning 118-110 and 87-91 at MSG. The Bobcats are 9-4 SU and ATS L13 in H2H, 3-1 SU and ATS on this court. Charlotte is a solid 7-8 as a dog and 11-7 as a home dog of three to six. The Knicks have been arsonists to bettors, 3-13 overall, 2-8 as a favorite, 2-9 vs points against losing records. Urgency with the visitors but show us first.

(CBB) Tennesse +9 over Vanderbilt

Tennessee is just 1-7 on the road but 4-4 ATS against top flight competition. The Vols are improving every outing under Cuonzo Martin who has stressed defense. UT is playing lots of close games. They’re 1-3 straight up in their L4 (all four decided by four or less) but beat UConn in last. Vandy had won ten straight before falling to Miss State at home on the weekend. Vandy just 2-6 ATS at home and SEC SD home faves just 3-7. Tennesse is 19-9 the way we keep score in L28 in the series including 10-4 at this venue. Vols worth a look here.

(CBB) Miami at Georgia Tech Under 130

The Miami Hurricanes have not had much trouble putting up big points against the Florida Atlantics, App State, and Greensboros of the world but they struggle vs teams that make defense a priority. The Canes scored in the 50’s vs Memphis, Virginia, and North Carolina. Georgia Tech is not of that ilk but they don’t score much (63.1 ppg) and don’t give up much (62.4 ppg). The last three games in the series have flown under the total accounting for 123, 116, and 126 points. Expect a similar low scoring game tonight.

(NHL) Tampa Bay -170 over Columbus

After making the NHL Final Cuatro last year, it’s time for the Tampa Bay Lightning to put up or shut up. They are currently 14 out of 15 teams in the East with just 44 points going 20-23-4 in 47 games. That said, they have a bunch of teams to jump but are just nine points out of the playoffs and in good shape with wins. The Bolts need to win at home and they won’t get softer touch than 5-16-3 road warrior Blue Jackets. Further, Columbus is just 2-14 in road games where the posted total is 5.5 and 1-7 in second of B2Bs. The price is a bit strong but worth a look.
