Sportsbetting3’s Free Plays: Saturday, February 4, 2012

Free plays split out on Friday so we’ll try to get back on track with a mixed bag in three different sports on Saturday. Don’t forget to check back tonight and tomorrow morning as SP3 will release several Super Bowl prob bets with analysis.
Make sure that you have several outs so that you can take advantage of the best numbers and matchups. Good luck.

(CBB) Ohio State -3 over Wisconsin

This is a big game for both sides and will give somewhat of an idea of whether Ohio State is for real or whether they will be another Sweet Dieciseis or Great Eight out in March. The Buckeyes have lost seven straight games on this floor and are just 2-2 this year on the conference road losing at Illinois and Indiana. The Bo Ryans have really turned up the defense winning their last three home games allowing just a tick above 50 ppg. In SP3s opinion, the Buckeyes will have the best three players on the floor and that will be the difference as Wisky front court will be unable to deal with Sullinger in the paint opening the perimeter for the OSU sharpshooter. Ohio State 66-57.

(CBB) Colorado State -8 over Air Force

Thought that the Rams would have more in the tank during the week when they were crushed at UNLV after beating up San Diego State here last Saturday. To Colo State’s credit, they did cut a big halftime deficit to two before folding the teants late. The Mountain West has become too athletic for Air Force to just sit back and take the air out of the ball and then hit a three while playing zone defense at their end. The Falcons are 4-1 ATS on the road but they are yet to travel to UNLV, New Mexico, or Wyoming and in their only true test were thumped by 14 at SDSU. The Rams might be looking to send a message here as well as they were beaten by 17 in the last series meeting. Take Colorado State.

(NBA) Phoenix -9.5 over Charlotte

The Bobcats have had two days off to recharge the batteries but they’ve still lost ten straight games and 16 of their L17 overall. They’ll also be without their PG and best player in DJ Augustin. This will be the Suns fourth game in six nights but the spot is somewhat favorable as they were crushed at Houston last night, play a very winable game here, and then get a night off before traveling to probable losses at Atlanta and Milwaukee. Charlotte is actually 4-0 SU and ATS in the last four meetings with the Suns but this is a VERY bad Bobcat outfit that was 11-2 ATS against the Laker before getting trampled at the Staples Center earlier this week. Phoenix big.

(NHL) The Islanders -133 over Buffalo

The Islanders are 6-3-1 and playing their best hockey of the year. The Sabres are 3-6-1 in their L10 and that is with a rare road win in their last roadie. Finding any positive trends for either team which are a combined 41-59 is a trick but again, the NYI is playing great at the moment and has dominated this series to the tune of 7-3 L10 and 4-1 at the Nassau Colisem. The price is right and Ryan Miller really hasn’t stopped a shot since the Vancouver Olympics. The Islanders get a solid nod.
