North Carolina at Duke highlights the final regular season Saturday of college basketball

Murray State, Wichita State, Notre Dame, and Creighton were the only ranked teams to play Friday night. All won with little difficulty. The North Carolina/Duke rematch highlights the final Saturday of regular season basketball. If you remember, back on February 8th, the Blue Devils came back from eleven down in the final two minutes to beat the Tar Heels 85-84 on an Austin Rivers three-pointer at the buzzer. Duke opened up as a one-point favorite with the total 154. UNC is now a 1 1/2 point fave and the total has been bet up to 155. Duke has won five of six in the series. UNC is 11-3 ATS in their L15 visits to Cameron Indoor Arena.

Other highlight games off the Saturday card are Pittsburg at UConn, West Virginia at South Florida, and Georgetown at Marquette in early Big East matchups. Northwestern is a two-point dog in a must win game at Iowa. Baylor and Iowa State are both in but play for conference tourney seeding today at Ames. Tennessee State and Murray State play their rubber match in the OVC final. State handed the Racers their only loss this year. St Mary’s plays San Francisco and Gonzaga and BYU square off in the WCC semis. Utah State is a pick at Hawaii as the midnight college baskets bailout

The Heat saw their nine-game win streak end losing by a point at Utah. Devin Harris made a three-point-play late to put Utah up. Lebron James passed to a wide open Udonis Haslem for a wide open jumper that fell off the rim at the buzzer. Dallas lost it’s fourth in-a-row to New Orleans, Phoenix held off a late charge by the Clippers to win by three. Boston, Chicago, Philly, San Antonio, Denver, and the Lakers won by double-digits. The Grizz and Hawks also posted wins.

(CBB) South Florida -2 over West Virginia

The Bulls can pretty much take their At Large bid out of the hands of the judges while a loss will most likely put them back on the bubble. South Florida has been money going 13-3 in their L16 Big East matchups with the losses coming to Syracuse, Georgetown, and Marquette … all Top 15 in the country. USF is off a wire-to-wire road win at Louisville and this team is the real deal. West Virginia is just 3-6 vs the points on the road this year and 6-13 in their L19 as a RD of three or less. South Florida by ten.

(CBB) Seton Hall -5 over DePaul

Seton Hall can be thrown into a group of eight last four in and last four outers. The Pirates have some quality wins but will likely still have to win here and grab a game on the Big East tournament to really seal the deal. Seton Hall has been pretty solid with suitcase going 5-4 and have pretty much taken care of business when favored going 8-5. The Blue Demons have lost nine straight, 14 of their L15, and were waxed in New Jersey 94-73 in the first meeting. There are no buy signs on DePaul and the number is very reasonable. Take Seton Hall.

(CBB) North Carolina -1.5 over Duke

No real brain surgery here. We all know how the Dukies cam back from ten down to win in Chapel Hill in the first meeting. If you YouTube those final 120 seconds you will see for yourself it was nothing short of a divine intervention. The ACC regular season title is on the line but that doesn’t reall matter, this is North Carolina/Duke. How close is this rivalry ??? In the last 82 games, UNC leads 42-40 and the total point differential is one. Expect to see the most focuses Tar Heel team you’ve seen this year and the result is their best effort. North Carolina 88-75.

(CBB) South Dakota State -9 over IUPUI

SP3 made a terrible mistake by taking Buffalo out of the MAC vs these Jackrabbits and we got or asses handed to us. This team is led by a big time NBA prospect PG and the other four starters are all shooting around 40% from beyond the arc. IUPUI has coverd five of six but lost at Brooking 74-65 (+12.5) a week ago. The Jacks are 16-6 ATS at home, 13-4 as fave, and on a 5-1 point run against losing records. Take South Dakota State.
