Put up or shut up for the Giants and Pats

SP3 free plays went an unlucky 2-2 with both college hoop plays winning easily. The Islanders blew a 3-1 lead and were beat in a shootout. The Suns were awful in the first half before finally winning but not getting the cover. Here are a couple of free plays to watch and win at your Super Bowl party. We’ll finish up with a couple of props for game time. Good luck and have a great day.

(CBB) Loyola Maryland -8.5 over St Peters

The Greyhounds are playing great. They’ve five straight and eight of nine. They’re 4-1 on the conference road including a perfect 3-0 as a road favorite. Loyola Md has a storied history as a road team among bettors, 21-12 the last three years, and 95-47 vs the points since 1997. St Peter’s is 1-4 at home the way we keep score, just 4-8 ATS this year in conference, and 0-7 in their L7 tries as a home dog of 6-9. Loyola won home game 65-54 (-12.5) on January 22nd, the Peaocks last six losses are by 24-35-11-12-12-14. Lay the points.

(CBB) Youngstown -4 over Loyola Chicago

YSU backers are getting a break here bases on the Penguins horrific loss to Ill-Chicago on Thursday. Loyola has covered two of three but are 0-11 straight up in conference and just 3-7-1 against the points. The teams played January 5th in Ohio with the Pens escaping with a 68-64 OT win despite hitting just 10-23 foul shots and 6-19 of their three-pointers. If the road team has any kind of shooting night here, they win easily. Take Youngstown State.

(NHL) The Rangers -141 over the Flyers

A classic rivalry out of the NHL Atlantic Division. The Rangers had yesterday off while the Flyers were rorched for the first six goals of the game in a 6-4 loss to the Devils. This is a rematch of the Winter Classic won by the Rangers 3-2 in Philly. It was a great game played outdoors that saw a scoreless first period. The Rangers struck first but were down 2-1 at the end of two periods. The Rangers got two in the third and survived a desperate Flyer shooting gallery in final minute. These two are a combined 62-37 so the techs and trend are all positive. The Broadway Blues have won the last five in the series and figure here.

These numbers were taken from the Hilton Super Book

Ahmed Bradshaw over/under 60.5 rushing yards: SP3 says play the Over

Benjarvis Green-Ellis over/under 49.5 rushing yards: SP3 says play the Over

Danny Woodhead over/under 22.5 rushing yards: SP3 says play the Under

Danny Woodhead’s longest rush over/under 9.5 yards: SP3 says play the Under

SP3 believes that Super Bowl XLVI will be decided by the running game. The Giants will look to establish the run against the very suspect Patriot 3-4 and Ahmed Bradshaw will be the beneficiary of the carries having displaced Brandon Jacobs as the G-Men’s go to guy long ago. Bradshaw has had limited practice time because of a broken bone in his foot but can’t help but think of this as some gamesmanship remembering Bradshaw’s big games against the Cowboys, Falcons, and Packers. It’s been reported that the Pat’s gameplan is to somewhat concede the run keeping Big Blue’s wide outs in front of them and not giving up the big play.

The Pats will need to run the ball as well to slow down the Giant pass rush, especially if Gronk is less than 100%. Green-Ellis has run the ball with authority and almost as importantly does not fumble. Danny Woodhead has been somewhat forgotten in the New England offense and got just five carries for 18 yards in the AFC Championship game. In the Division game against Denver, he did have 25 yards on four carries but that was in second half garbage time. Remember David Hernandez was moved to the backfield and took those carries.
