Kansas City at Indianapolis Over 39
The Chiefs finally seem to have the offense going after moving the ball against the Chargers and last week vs the Vikings. That said, they need some work in the redzone as they settled for five FGs despite 103/258 in 22-19 win over Minnesota. KC on a 4-1 Over run vs ACF South opponents and figure to do business against Colt stop unit that has been on the field quite abit the last two weeks and is working on a short work week. Curtis Painter can only be better with a couple of starts under his belt. Indy with 19-17-20 points in L3 vs reasonably stout Cleve, Pitt, and Tampa Bay defenses. It’s impossible to put any creedence behind any techs with current Colt outfits but they are 6-0 to the High at this posted total and 11-4 Over in games where the line is plus/minus three. Thinking that we could see points here and that this one easily sneaks Over the total.
Arizona at Minnesota Under 45.5
Two former Eagle QBs square off here and both are struggling with their new teams. Kolb has gotten very little going in his two road starts at Washington and Seattle combining for only 31 poinst and a tick better than 300 ypg. It’s the same MO for the Vikes who have been solid stopping the run but not real effectives stopping the pass. They bristled up inside the 20 last week vs KC allowing on one TD and five FG. McNabb throwing for about 155 a game while avgg just 19.3 ppg. This one sets up as a matchup between Beanie Wells and Adrian Peterson and the run burns clock. The first one to 20 wins here and this one flies Under the total.
Cincinnati at Jacksonville Under 37.5
Both these team are offensive challenged to say the least as both break in new rookie quarterbacks. Dalton and Gabbert have had their moments but in the end, Dalton still struggling to find a way. The Jags are avgg just 9.8 ppg on just 263 ypg of total offense. The defense has been nails allowing just 18.0 ppg but how long can that keep up knowing you have to be virtually perfect and to pretty much have to pitch a shutout to win. At this writing (Weds), there is a 50% chance of rain which could reduce this to the 16-10 type game we saw in the Jax monsoon game vs Carolina. Play the Under.
Giants -9.5 over Seattle
The G-Men are hitting stride now that Eli is over his turnover bug. Nice B2B road wins over the Eagles and Arizona have the injury riddle Giants in a good place. In LY’s 41-7 win over the Seahawks, the Giant defense held the SHawks to just 169 yards of total offense. The Tavaris Jackson led Seattle offense is avgg 14.5 ppg and rushing for just 68 ypg. That’s won’t bode well for the visitors if they are forced to throw into the teeth of a ferocious Giant pass rush. In the end it will be ground and pound with Bradshaw and Jacobs opening the door for Manning to throw downfield to Hicks and Cruz. The Giants win this by three touchdowns.
