Spurs rally from 18 down to stop Grizz in OT

San Antonio came out fat and happy in their Game III matchup with Memphis trialing by as many as 18 points early and down 29-13 after one quarter. The Spur bench chipped away until the starters got in gear as San Antonio was able to force overtime before winning 104-93. The Spurs three amigos …. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli combined for 69 points, 21 rebounds and 15 assists. Mike Conley led the Grizz with 20 points as Memphis fell to 0-3 in the series.

Heat/Pacers III tonight at 8:30 PM EST

The Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers strap it up for Game III of their Eastern Conference final series tonight at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Blackhawks beat Wings 4-1 to stay alive

The Chicago Blackhawks got two power play goals late in the second period to break a 1-1 tie and went on to beat the Detroit Red Wings at the United Center. Jonathan Toews broke a playoff long scoring slump with his first marker and Corey Crawford made 25 saves in the win. Detroit still leads the series 3-2 and can clinch at home in Game VI at Joe Lewis Arena.

The Boston Bruins eliminated the New York Rangers in five games with a 3-1 home win to punch their ticket to the Eastern Conference finals with Pittsburg. Greg Campbell got the winner and added an empty-net insurance goal for the winners. The Rangers managed 32 shots on goal but could only find the onion skin once against Tuukka Rask.

MLB News and Notes

The San Francisco Giants beat the Colorado Rockies 6-5 in 10 innings Friday night on Angel Pagan’s walk off inside-the-park homer. The Giants overcame a 4-0 deficit with three in the sixth and one in the seventh. The Rockies got one in the top of the 10th to set up Pagan’s dramatics.

Quarterback Everett Golson no longer at Notre Dame

In a story that broke late last night, it was revealed that last year’s Fighting Irish starting quarterback Everett Golson is no longer enrolled at Notre Dame. The story has been confirmed by the school but specifics have not been revealed due to Federal confidentiality laws. SB3 will be following this story in upcoming days. Read about what is known by clicking here. Golson, a red-shirt freshman, started the final 11 games for Notre Dame last year including their National Championship loss to Alabama.

Velasquez, Dos Santos and Grant win by KO at UFC 160

Cain Velasquez knocked out Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva with a crushing right to the jaw to retain his UFC heavyweight title. In the co-features …. Junior Dos Santos knocked out Mark Hunt in the third round with a spinning heel kick to set up a possible Velasquez/JDS III matchup. In a middleweight eliminator, T.J.
