Ohio State, Miami, Ole Miss and St Louis are Sunday winners
The last four conference tournaments still in action crowned their champs on Sunday. Ohio State beat Wisconsin 50-43 to win the Big Ten title and lock up a #2 seed in the process. Miami Fla beat North Carolina 87-77 and became the first ACC team ever to win the conference regular season outright and the tournament and not get a top seed in the dance. Ole Miss completed a weekend of improbable comebacks when the Rebels came from 12 down at the half to beat Florida and win SEC honors. Last but certainly not least, St Louis stopped VCU 62-56 to win the A-14 and will be this year’s “sexy” mid-major pick to go a long way in the tournament. Heat now tied for second best run with 22 straight wins
We’re not a broken record, just reporting the news and the Miami Heat won again, 108-91 at Toronto, tying the NBA’s second longest win streak at 22 straight games. Lebron led the way with a 22-12-8 game line while DWade and Chris Bosh chipped in with 24 and 18 points respectively. The Heat can make it 23 straight with a win tonight in Boston. Miami is a 5-point favorite with the total 189.

Jake Long, the No.1 overall pick in the 2008 draft, has agreed to a long-term deal with the St Louis Rams. details were not released but reports have the signing in the $36 million dollar range. The big offensive tackle was hampered by injuries last year, finally going on IR in December with a a triceps tear. Long has a long history of injuries including ankle, back and shoulder problems. He missed just two games in five years prior to this year and was a four-time Pro-Bowl starter.
New York football Giants owner Steve Tisch says the team will do everything it can to keep restricted free-agent slot receiver Dominick Cruz. The Giants are expecting Cruz to be given an offer sheet for a deal averaging about $6 million per year. The Giants can match or let Cruz go and get a first-round pick as compensation.
Blackhawks get revenge match with Avs tonight
The Chicago Blackhawks opened this year’s season going 21-0-3 before losing their first game in regulation, 6-2 at Colorado ten days ago. The Hawks are back at the Pepsi Center tonight to even the score and are -150 favorites this time around. The total is 5.5 with the under shaded to 20/25 cents.

Greek national soccer player gets life ban for Nazi salute
If you need further proof that it is not illegeal to be stupid, a Greek soccer player has been banned from playing on his national team for life after using the Nazi salute in a celebration after scoring a goal in league play. 20-year-old Giorgio Katidis gave a Nazi salute after scoring the go-ahead goal Saturday in AEK’s 2-1 victory over Veria in a Greek league. He pleaded ignorance of the meaning of his gesture – right arm extended and hand straightened.
