Nuggets rally for 14th straight win

Down five points with less than ten seconds to play it looked like the Denver Nuggets 13 game winning streak was about to come to an end but …. Corey Brewer calmly sank a three and then fouled the 76ers Evan Turner. A 75% foul shooter on the year, Turner missed both free throws setting up the improbable finish. After a time out, Denver inbounded the ball to Galinari who handed off to Brewer for a desperation three. Hit on the arm, Brewer sank all three free throws with 2.1 seconds left to give Denver an improbable 101-100 win over Philadelphia. It was denver’s franchise record 14th straight win overall and their 16th straight home win at the Pepsi Center.

Kobe and Gasol both probable tonight vs the Wizards

Kobe Bryant and Pao Gasol are both listed as probable for tonight’s Laker home game vs the Washington Wizards. Bryant has been nursing a badly sprained left ankle while Gasol has been battling plantar fasciitis and hasn’t played since February 6th. As of 9:00 AM EST, no side or total has been posted on the game.

Brodeur returns from injury and scores third career goal

Future first-ballot Hall-of-Famer returned between the pipes for the first time in a month for the Devils and notched his 665th career victory and even scored his third career goal in a 4-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Brodeur picked up his rare goal when Canes goalie Dan Ellis left his goal for an extra attacker on a delayed penalty and Joedan Staal’s cross ice pass from behind the New Jersey goal took a bad carom of the boards and into his own net. Brodeur got credit as the last devil to touch the puck.
