West downs East 143-138, the under is never in doubt
In a game that was pretty competitive throughout, the West led pretty much wire-to-wire in a 143-138 victory over the East in the 52nd NBA All-Star Game at Houston. Kevin Durant scored 30 points to lead the West and the Clipper’s Chris Paul chipped in with 20 points and 15 assists to take down the MVP honors. Carmelo Anthony led the East with 26 points and 12 boards. While there were plenty of highlight reel dunks and wide-open looks to go around, the players did play somewhat of a loose defense to prevent a mockery of the game. The last five minutes was all out with the money on the line. It was a big day for the books as the West opened at -3.5 and finally closed at -2. The total opened at 290, was bet all the way up to 297.5 and finally ended at 295. A 57 point first quarter pretty much killed any chance for the over.
