Western Conference Contenders
Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets were the kings of the NBA in 2022-23, and they will be looking to repeat as champions. Denver Nuggets
The NBA has become increasingly unpredictable, and it was very impressive to see Nikola Jokic and Jamaal Murray lead the Nuggets to their first championship in the league. Michael Malone will have his Nuggets — the Western Conference favorites — ready for another run this year, as Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon will look to continue to contribute. They will look to hold off the likes of the Phoenix Suns, who added Bradley Beal during the offseason.
Phoenix Suns
The Suns went through a big retooling around Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. Bradley Beal is in now with the Phoenix Suns. Deandre Ayton is now a Portland Trail Blazer, while the Suns added Jusuf Nurkic, Grayson Allen, Bol Bol, Eric Gordon, and Yuta Watanabe. Monty Williams took the Suns to the 2021 NBA Finals, but then his teams fell in the 2022 and 2023 playoffs in the Western Conference Semifinals. Will new coach Frank Vogel lead the Suns to stardom? They have a decent chance of doing so.
