Get ready for a fantastic 2023 NFL season with the NFC win totals. The Philadelphia Eagles represented the NFC in the Super Bowl last season, but they fell just short in the 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Eagles are looking for another great season, as Philadelphia is the heavy favorite to win the NFC again. Here are the win totals for all the NFC teams:

Philadelphia Eagles
Jalen Hurts almost won Super Bowl LVII against Kansas City, but his 14-3 Eagles lost by three points. The Eagles (11.5) were the No. 1 seed in the NFC in 2022, as they scored the most points in the conference. Can this be the year for the Eagles? Nick Sirianni has ascended very quickly to become one of the best coaches in the league, and a healthy Hurts will make 2023 another very successful season.
Dallas Cowboys
Let us stay in the NFC East as we look at America’s Team. The Dallas Cowboys (10.5) have the same over/under total as last year, and this is after consecutive 12-win seasons. Did you know that this is the first time that they have had this type of regular season success in consecutive seasons since the mid-1990s? Not many people saw Mike McCarthy doing this with the Cowboys, and they could be a dark horse this season, especially if there are early season woes.
Detroit Lions
The team that everyone is excited about in 2023 is Detroit. The Lions (9.5) won nine games last season and missed the postseason, but they lost six of their first seven games before finishing the season 8-2. Jamaal Williams was a beast with 17 rushing touchdowns, and Jared Goff threw for 29 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Dan Campbell’s team looks on the rise, and the over could be a decent option here.

What is an NFL Win Total Bet?
The season win total is part prop, part future hybrid. The plus and minus values assign odds to either side of the team’s win total line. This bet functions like a total bet. Choose either over or under the sportsbook’s line.
Example Carolina Panthers Season Wins
- 6 o -110
- 6 u -110
This win total line is a whole number. That means your bet pushes if the Panthers win exactly 6 games. Your bet will be refunded.
Options:
Risk $110 to win $100 that Carolina wins more than 6 games. A result of 7 or more wins.
Risk $110 to win $100 that Carolina wins less than 6 games. A result of 5 or fewer wins.
If Carolina wins exactly 6 games, the result pushes or ties the sportsbook’s line. All bets will be refunded.
How to Handicap an NFL Win Total Bet
Handicap a team’s NFL win total using its upcoming schedule, likely starters, and any recently drafted players. Remember, you can bet under the sportsbook’s line if the win total is too high. If you believe a team is likely to win fewer games, bet under a win total line that looks too high.
Avoid betting on your favorite NFL teams or others that you otherwise root for. “Fan bias” is real. It can cloud the judgment of even the most seasoned sports handicappers. Better to research and bet on a team you don’t know much about.
Always consider both sides of a win total line. The line is set by the sportsbook. It may move as betting action piles up on one side more than the other. The team doesn’t have to “win” the exact win total line. Instead, you’re deciding whether their actual number of wins will be more or fewer than sportsbook’s line.
Finally, be careful when betting whole number lines like 7, 8, or 9. A tie is possible when the sportsbook doesn’t set a .5 half-win line. The good news: you get your bet back if the bet pushes. The bad news: you tie up money in the bet waiting for a result.
