When do MLS Props Come Out?
Props for regular season games will typically come out around one day to several days before a game, though they can sometimes come out earlier. Game and team props typically come out first, with some player props released shortly thereafter.
Note that player prop lines will depend on their status, health, and other considerations. Therefore, these will not be available until the sportsbook knows they’re likely to play in a game.
MLS Player Prop Bets
MLS player props include more than just the number of goals scored. They also can be a player’s shots on goal, cards received, to give one or more assists, odds to score the first goal, odds to not score at all, or other special combo props the oddsmakers create. Prop bets for different statistics depend on the sportsbook.
For example, will the striker land over or under 1.5 shots on target? Will a team score over or under 2.5 goals? Or, will a particular player take over or under 4.5 shots? Will another player receive a card during the match, Yes or No? Props similar to these and many others will be available every week.

MLS Prop Betting Strategy
Evaluate a player’s health and recent performances when reviewing their prop bet line. If the line is off, research any potential injuries or limitations on their playing in the upcoming game. Also note any recent performances in international events or tournaments. Unlike American Football, soccer players and teams will play games outside their immediate club league.
If the sportsbook has set a bad line, capitalize on the opportunity for an easy winner. Monitor the lines in the days leading up the match to place a strategic winning prop bet.
Don’t forget to assess the rest of the team. A team’s ability to defend can help neutralize the opposition’s best goal scorers. Your assessment should consider each team’s goalkeeper.
Finally, check the depth of the team’s bench. If any of the starting players tire or get injured, know whether or not there are adequate substitutes to fill the void. Some soccer teams have stronger second strings than others. This matters a lot in big matches.
