BetWay Sports Betting Markets

Point Spread
For a point spread, the bettor places a bet on the expected score difference set by the sportsbook.
For example, if the Miami Dolphins are -7, they would need to win by more than 7 points in order to cover. Winning by 6 or less would result in a loss for bettors taking the favored Dolphins. The underdog would win instead. A 7 point margin of victory would tie the spread, or “push”, and BetWay will refund all wagers.

Total
In a Total wager, bettors are deciding whether the combined point total will be over or under the line set by the sportsbook. BetWay uses “o” to abbreviate “Over” and “u” to abbreviate “Under”.

Moneyline
The moneyline is the simplest bet there is: choose the outright winner. BetWay offers moneylines on all major US sports leagues, European soccer leagues, and individual sports.
Favorites have a minus sign while underdogs have a plus sign. Favorite bettors risk more for a smaller, more likely payout. Meanwhile, underdog bettors risk less for a higher, less likely payout.
In the case of a -220 favorite, a $100 bet would pay $45 in winnings. A $100 bet on a +150 underdog would pay $150 in winnings.
Parlays
A parlay combines several selections into one bet. For the bet to cash, each selection must win. Should one lose, the entire parlay loses.
Parlays can include moneyline, total, point spreads, and even props bets. Parlays can also include a combination of selections from different leagues and sporting events.
Teasers
A teaser is a parlay variant. First, a bettor selects 2-10 point spread or total lines. Second, the bettor buys points in order to shift total and point spread lines in their favor. The bet is now easier to win in exchange for a lower payout.
Teasers are limited to the NFL, NBA, and some college football matchups. While BetWay doesn’t yet offer teasers as of early 2023, they will likely add this bet in the coming months.
Futures
Think you know which team will win the Super Bowl, NBA Championship, or Final Four? Place a futures bet before a championship, final standing, playoff, or league award announcement.

Props
