Football Betting Nirvana, Continued: College Football Betting Week 14 Schedule

There’s just a smattering of college football games this weekend compared to recent weeks, but Week 14 of college football betting packs a good punch. It will be Bowl Game time soon enough, and now more than ever, teams need to lock up their ranking on the national level if they want to move on past regular season play. It seems like yesterday we were posting about the beginning of the season: Wow 🙂 does time fly when you’re having fun!

Week 14 is interesting because there are a lot of matchups between top 25 nationally ranked teams. This Thursday December 3, 2009, No. 16 Oregon State takes on No.7 Oregon in what should be a great game between two state rivals. No. 7 Oregon needs to take this game, in order to lock up top 10 status for the postseason. After this, it’s on to Friday, when Ohio faces Central Michigan at 8:00 PM EST.

As usual, Saturday offers the best college football betting opportunities. Starting at 12:00 PM EST, No. 5 Cincinnati matches up against No. 15 Pittsburgh. Additionally, No. 21 Houston plays East Carolina, while No. 23 West Virginia rumbles with Rutgers.

The Game of the day, however, starts at 4:00 PM EST when No.1 Florida plays No.2 Alabama, in what many hail as a preview of the national championship. Make sure you watch the lines carefully on this one, we’re in uncharted territory in this game: for once, Florida is actually facing a top team, opposed to lesser teams that don’t even crack the top 25. Then, at 8:00 PM EST, No. 3 Texas squares off against No. 22 Nebraska, in a great regional rivalry. This will be one of Sam Bradford’s (QB, Texas) opportunities to make his case for the 2009-10 Heisman Trophy, which will be a close call considering the fact that Tim Tebow from No. 1 Florida is in the running, too.

The closer for the day is at 11:30 PM EST, when Wisconsin plays Hawaii. If you got beat earlier in the day, this is your chance for redemption. Check out our odds page to see where the lines are: this could be your chance to make some money if you made a bad call in the Florida/Alabama game 😉 .

After that, it’s time to hit the hay: Week 13 NFL betting continues after a Thursday fight between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. Top ranked teams Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints should have no trouble defending their undefeated records against the Tennessee Titans and Washington Red Skins respectively. There are no byes this week, so that means every team is going to see action.

Pick out your favorite games and prepare for yet another thrilling weekend of NFL betting that help shape up the looming post season!
