The first team to score prop bet often has the favorite as the most likely to score first. And with some college football games featuring two mismatched competitors, this would make sense. But the odds you see may not reflect what’s most likely to happen in the game. In fact, the underdog could very likely score first, while ultimately losing the game.
So, this prop is easy enough to place: pick which team you think will score first. It’s important that you handicap each team’s starting lineup, injury report, and recent performances carefully. Finally, don’t rule out the underdog just because they’re not likely to win the game outright. A quick field goal or errant safety for the underdog would make them the winners.
It’s more important to consider which side typically scores first in its recent matchups and by what method, and whether their opponent’s defense is adequately prepared or not.
Below, we’ll display the prop betting odds for the team to score first in upcoming College Football matchups.

The less likely outcome, or underdog side, will have plus odds. A plus value indicates how you much win if you risk $100. If the odds for one team are are +125, you’d win $125 for risking $100. Likewise, if the odds are +100 or even money, you’d win $100 for a $100 bet.
Most of the time, odds for this bet will be somewhat close together, typically within 25-50 cents. In rarer circumstances, you might see one side at -275 and the other at +210.
